Fri, June 12, 2009 - 11:00 AMYeah that newsletter irks me....last week or the week before I saw Sylvain Sylvain up at the top, but no info anywhere. Eventually it will migrate down to the actual calendar but that could take a few weeks. According to the e-mail though it looks like they'll be playing with the Avengers and Pansy Division. I'm tempted to go see the Germs on Sunday! -

Fri, June 12, 2009 - 7:43 PMIt was fun to see The Germs 2 years ago at Slim's. It is weird to see Shane West up on stage after all that time on ER and in movies. Did anyone see him in the Germs movie : "What We Do Is Secret" ?
I assumed that would not be the triple bill, although it appears that way ?

Yes and I wasn't impressed. You're much better off reading the book Lexicon Devil than watching What We Do Is Secret. -

Fri, June 12, 2009 - 9:10 PMI saw the Germs at Slims too. They sounded great. So so turnout. I've yet to enjoy the Uptown. At the Green Day show you couldn't see the band from the floor unless you were up front. Also I have yet to figure out where to park legally past midnight. Finding a space is as bad as the mission. I've thrown in the towel a couple of times. -

Sat, June 13, 2009 - 11:21 AMFunny, I've always enjoyed the Uptown when I've gone there but Green Day is completely out of the norm so hard to compare to anything else there. If you can get upstairs there's that little balcony which is GREAT, or else just scoot up on the side to get closer to the stage. Parking was prob bad the night you were there cause there was GD AND Franz Ferdinand at the Fox. I've often parked on Broadway over by the Paramount which usually isn't a problem. -

Sun, June 14, 2009 - 3:34 PMI've also parked on Telegraph nearby but then again I usually need to be there early if I'm working. Also the Fox has this thing now if you use your Visa Sig card to buy tix you get to park in their lot or something. -
